"BEST OF THE BEST" BC & YUKON TAP WATER TASTE TEST
The 2024 "Best of the Best" Tap Water Taste Test is a province-wide friendly competition, hosted by the BCWWA at the Annual Conference & Trade Show, inviting municipalities and regional districts across BC and the Yukon to compete to see who has the best tasting tap water. The competition is held to raise awareness of the importance of our water systems in protecting public health and the environment.
Which municipality will come out on top and be awarded the best tasting water in BC and the Yukon?
HOW IT WORKS
A panel of impartial judges will taste and evaluate water samples based on appearance, aroma, taste, mouth feel, aftertaste, and overall impression. The winner will be announced at the Annual Conference Awards Lunch immediately following the taste test.Submission requirements:
- Participants must provide 3L of sample water in metal or glass bottles, which are clean and free of residue. Do not use plastic bottles.
- Water samples must be collected post treatment and from the tap of an end user.
- Water samples should be delivered at room temperature.
Please note:
- There is no cost for competing in the taste test.
- It is recommended that participants attend BCWWA’s 2024 Annual Conference & Trade Show in Whistler, BC (Full Conference passes or Tuesday Only passes are available for purchase) to hear the results of the competition.
- Water samples should comply with BC Drinking Water Guidelines.
